Willing to celebrate the official visit in Paris of the royal couple of Sweden and promote its sustainable development policy, IKEA teamed up with Swedish artist Aleksandra Stratimirovic and Ubi Bene agency to create a light art installation in the heart of Paris.
“Northern Lights” is a giant sculpture set-up in the Palais-Royal Garden made of 35,000 LED lights disposed on 7-meter vertical poles.
It aims at recreating aurora borealis and is inspired by the traditional Festival of lights held in Sweden every year to celebrate St Lucy’s day. Golem13
